I am a graduate with honours of the University of Leeds, in Media (with Management), specializing in Web and Graphic Design. Since graduation I have had 4 years experience in the industry (on and off while being a professional musician in a band called Black #5), and have had distinct and varied clients, from record labels to art galleries to doctors surgeries to major marketing agencies.
For the past year (and a bit), I worked at Infoserve Group Ltd., an online Marketing Agency, which sells advertising solutions over a vast range of web based products including products for Yahoo! Local and Cityvisitor.
As well as designing and building Infoserve’s corporate site, and other internal projects, I was responsible for designing bespoke client sites and producing HTML email shots to customers. Since leaving the company in October 2007, I have worked as a freelance designer.
This Digital Portfolio contains just a small sample of my designs and showcases just some of my abilities in web & graphic design, xhtml, css, print design, and photography... as well as a keen eye for details and aesthetics!
My primary tools include Dreamweaver and Fireworks (I prefer it Ps or Ai - so shoot me!). I am also well versed in using, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign , Flash, Acrobat as well as Microsoft Office products. I also have a good understanding in building dynamic applications with ColdFusion, after having recently built my first fully data driven site.
I primarily use Mac OSX, but I am also well practiced in using Windows. I'm not a mac geek, I've used Windows XP for years, and like it a lot.
The cool thing for me about doing this kind of work is that it is really a lot of fun. I am learning all the time and it gives an endless opportunity to be creative. I bet you can't say that about many jobs.
I'm currently employed at Leeds Design Agency, Numiko, working on awesome projects for awesome companies such as the BBC, ITV, O2, Design Project and Yorkshire Forward.
