Not sure if I have a viable pregnancy. 1In the week of JUly Mon 15 I got light spotting for my period. but that period was due the week before. then Mon Aug 5,6,7,8,9 I should have had my perion. Nothing. tues sept 3. blood test is positive for pregnancy. hcg is 553. sunday Sept 1, I had extreme pain in my abdomen . Hard to walk. Very uncomfortable. Sept 13 hcg 4214 Im not sure how far along the pregnancy i am . but i tell the ultrasound tech my lmp was July 15. Ultrasound sept 13 says. Cystic structure with echogenic rim, MSD measures 7.7 mm , no YS and no embryo seen Mild Lt adnexal tenderness. No free fluid seen. Finding may represent early pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy can not be rule out. Ultrasound Sep 18. Possibility of single intrauterine gestational sad of 6.3 weeks size. No yolk sac or embryo visualized yet. Adnexae unremarkable. Failed early intrauterine pregnancy. Ultrasound done Sept 23..HCG 8020. its rising. PREGNANCY AND TRANSVAGINAL ULTRASOUND:Ultrasound showed an intrauterine gestational sac about 6 weeks size. It is slightly flattened. Decidual reaction is poor. There is no embryo or yolk sac seen. By dates the patient should be 10 weeks. No adnexal masses were seen. IMPRESSION: this is likely a non-viable gestation (blighted Ovum). However, if a beta hcg levels are rising appropiately then a repeat Scan canbe considered done in 2 weeks. However if the beta hcg level is falling off then this would confirm the diagnosis of a blighted ovum. I dont know what is going on. I think my pregancy is not as far along as my lmp indicates, cause i cant remember. But the blood work should be able to advise along with the size of measures gest sac. Pleas help. But, it is perfectly NORMAL to have a 'Background' level of 0.1 to 1.2 - And, it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to have any HCG in your body from any PREGNANCY at 4 to 5 days after ANY sex, EVEN if you were really pregnant - and so this 0.1 IS NOT from a pregnancy - that would be impossible.. You could have had a "chemical pregnancy," if the first test (that you said was positive) was correct. Home pregnancy tests (you mentioned that you had used an ovulation test kit, but that will not help you here, so let's assume it was indeed a home pregnancy test) can have evaporation lines that look like positive indicators but they are not.. Of course there is a chance. but you may just be stressed out or had a change in diet. i dont really know much about hcg levels so just go to your doctor.
